Youth Opportunities Fund- Year 1 Recap

3a14a440-163c-4e44-9a59-511ba59bfb1bIn the spring of 2016 Y2K received five years of funding from the Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) a program with the Ontario Trillium Foundation. With this funding Y2K created five new teams, the focus of today’s update is specifically the Participatory Action Research (PAR) team and the work they conducted this year. The PAR team uses a national platform called Sharing the Stories (StS) which can be used to collect data, compare it against a national aggregate and which we can collectively use to understand and explore youth outcomes and engagements in KFL&A.

The following reports go through some of the results and patterns we have seen from the young people who participated in the data collection. Please feel free to contact michael@studentscommission.ca or noor@studentscommission.ca with any questions about any of the collected information or the plans for Year 2 with YOF.
